Near the 3-point line, the pass found Victor Oladipo as if magnetized. He cradled it and cruised for a layup. It was emblematic of the Thunder’s 123-102 win Thursday at Air Canada Center, a night when most everything seemed to go right.
In this season of signature Westbrook moments, the pass was as eye-popping as any. That it came to Oladipo felt only fitting.
On Thursday, that duo keyed one of OKC’s crispiest wins of the season. Westbrook recorded his 34th triple-double of the season, finishing with 24 points, 10 rebounds and 16 assists. Oladipo scored 23 points and made 9 of 15 shots.
And the Thunder guards have been front and center for a week.
Oklahoma City has won four straight, and during that stretch, three of those games against playoff-bound teams. During that streak, Westbrook is averaging 26.2 points, 11.5 rebounds and 11.5 assists. But he’s getting strong backcourt support from Oladipo, who during those four games has averaged 21.5 points and shooting 56.7 percent from the floor. He’s made 12 of 17 3-pointers.

It’s a small sample, but in that stretch, Westbrook and Oladipo have looked like the backcourt OKC anticipated when it traded for Oladipo over the summer.
The guard duo led the way, but most every Thunder followed on Thursday. Oklahoma City jumped out to a 20-9 lead and never trailed. It led by as many as 32.
The Thunder’s three frontcourt starters joined Westbrook and Oladipo in double-digit scoring — Andre Roberson had 13, Taj Gibson and Steven Adams 10 apiece — and Enes Kanter added 14 and Alex Abrines 10 off the bench.
OKC shot 53.4 percent from the floor, made 14 of 25 3-pointers and outscored the Raptors 17-4 in fast break points. It held Toronto to 5 of 20 3-point shooting and scored 17 second chance points to the Raptors’ one.
As complete as the effort was, Westbrook and Oladipo in particular had their fingerprints all over it.
The Raptors had chipped away at OKC’s 10-point first half lead as Westbrook rested early in the second quarter, and the Thunder’s lead was 38-36 with 6:46 to play in the second quarter.
But Westbrook sparked a 20-12 run to close the half. He scored or assisted on the last 16 points of the half.
The game was Westbrook’s fourth straight with at least 13 assists, a season high. It was Oladipo’s fourth straight scoring at least 20 points and cheap nba jerseys making more than half his shots.
That strong play has lifted OKC to one of its best streaks of the season. Though the Raptors are playing without injured point guard Kyle Lowry, they entered the game 6-4 in his absence and 22-11 overall at home.
The Thunder controlled the game throughout, even more than it had two nights earlier in Brooklyn. After losing seven straight on the road, Oklahoma City has won two in a row away from Chesapeake Energy Arena, where it returns on Saturday for a game against the Kings.
